They came from far and wide to show off their luscious locks for Mulletfest on Saturday, but it the end it was a veteran Victorian hair farmer that took out the top prize.
Paul Gee, who also took out the Vintage category traveled all the way from Heathmont, Victoria to pit his locks against a field of 245 entries, with some coming from as far afield as Norway. Canada, the UK, and the US to celebrate the mullet at Kurri’s Chelmsford Hotel.
Paul, who has been growing his glorious mane pretty much all his life was over the moon with the hairy accolade.
“It’s a dream come true,” he enthused while also admitting the future of mullet culture was in good hands with the Under 18s category generating 100 entries.

Loved-up couple Kirsten and Tony also saw fit to announce their engagement on the main stage, much to the joy of the cheering Chelly crowd.
Licensee Laura Johnson also offered to host the wedding so there may even be wedding bells at Mulletfest 2021!
