We might be in the middle of a seven-day (fingers crossed) lockdown, but that doesn’t mean us gig pigs can’t get our regular live music fix.
That’s because Hiss & Crackle Records is offering up a swathe of sweet sets from some of Newcastle’s finest acts over on its YouTube channel.
The Wallsend-based vinyl emporium regular hosts in-store gigs, and owner Mitch Eaton has been diligently preserving them for posterity on the vid sharing platform.
And this week, Mitch uploaded a bunch of new sets filmed at recent in-stores including Newcastle Live Radio’s Newcastle Music Show Record Store Day takeover.
The day featured awesome performances from the likes of Paris Butcher, Banjo Ulysses, The Original Left Bank Orchestra, Doris, Made For Television Special, and Underlay.
The current crop of uploads also features an intimate ‘listening party’ launch for James Bennett’s brilliant fourth album Life and Life Only.
But that’s not all!
The channel also features full sets from the likes of volume enthusiasts Human Failure, country rockers Viper Creek Band, rockers Sleapeaser and East Coast Low and more.
And with Mitch promising to keep the live show love coming, you can basically curate and attend your very own bespoke Newy music festival – all without the need to put shoes on!
And we’re all about that.
