Your summer beach bod plans could potentially go pear-shaped because Maccas has gone and spoiled it all by bringing back one of it’s most popular burgers – the El Maco.

Yep, that’s right.

That Mexican-themed tower of ‘sometimes food’ goodness is back on the menu along with the spicy shaker fries!

The popular limited-edition burger – consisting of beef, cheese, tomato, lettuce and El Maco sauce – was last seen on Oz menus back in 2012, so its return is sure to have fast-food enthusiasts across the country drooling in anticipation.

This time around though, those boffins at Maccas HQ have seen fit to extend the Mexican-themed range.

El Maco
LOVIN IT: McDonald’s has re-released it’s popular El Maco Burger and some special treats including spicy shaker fries and mozzarella sticks

Aside from the star of the show, you can also grab a chicken version, a spicy jalapeno variety as well as two tempting sides – the aforementioned shaker fries and mozzarella sticks with salsa.

This extended menu is fleeting though, and will only be offered until 22 December, so get in quick because you may have to wait another seven years for its return.

Oh, and the range is available instore and via the Maccas app for you tech-savvy burger hounds.
