“Weโ€™ve prepared an unforgettable day of fun and activities to keep everyone entertained, including a GIF booth, giant interactive games, and a temporary taco tattoo station, as well as heaps of giveaways with one lucky person scoring a year of free tacos as a grand prize.”

Aside from a hefty menu featuring a range of Tex-Mex fare, the Jesmond store also features free Wi-Fi, USB charging stations, kiosk ordering, and a self-serve music kiosk.

The opening of the Jesmond store also represents the beginning of further expansion into the Australian market with Restaurant Brands Group CEO Russell Creedy saying that expansion will see a minimum of 40 restaurants across NSW and the ACT opening in the next five years.

โ€œWe are delighted to be starting our journey in Jesmond and look forward to launching in Blacktown shortly after,โ€ he said.

The grand opening of the state’s first Taco Bell restaurant was postponed from its original date of 24 November due to unforeseen, last-minute power adjustments.

Taco Bell is located at Jesmond Central (28 Bluegum Road, Jesmond)
