A decadent collision of circus, live music and comedy will take over Newcastle when La Ronde opens its doors inside the glittering Spiegeltent Newcastle from 5 September to 5 October.
From the makers of Blanc de Blanc and LIMBO, this is a show for those who crave the extraordinary in an intoxicating world where art meets seduction.
Under the canopy of the Spiegeltent, La Ronde will blur the boundaries between artist and audience where bodies twist and spin in ways you didn’t think possible. From rare circus acts you’ve never seen in Newcastle, to powerhouse vocals and playful comedy, La Ronde is bringing together a daring international cast — and they’re ready to meet you.
Sergiy Mishchurenko
The Aerial Pole Virtuoso
Hailing from Ukraine and now based in Germany, Sergiy is making his Australian debut with La Ronde. A master of aerial pole and an accomplished dancer across contemporary, hip hop and more, Sergiy’s artistry has been showcased on Românii Au Talent and at the prestigious Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris. With 450,000 Instagram followers, his gravity-defying style is as photogenic as it is thrilling.
Adam Malone
The High-Flying Homegrown Talent
The only Australian in the La Ronde lineup, Melbourne’s Adam Malone is one of the few performers in the world specialising in the rare Washington Trapeze. His act also includes mesmerising hoop work, honed on stages across Europe, the UK and South America. A former makeup artist with a flair for drama, Adam’s performances combine technical skill with irresistible charisma.
Polina
The Record-Breaking Hair Hanger
Born in Belarus and based in Germany, Polina quite literally hangs her career by a thread — or rather, her hair. The Guinness World Record holder for the most spins in 30 seconds while suspended by hair, she has stunned audiences on Got Talent Spain and worked across Dubai, France, Germany and Switzerland, and we can’t wait to welcome her to Newcastle.
Geniris
The Voice of La Ronde
From the Dominican Republic, Geniris brings a vocal presence that can stop you in your tracks. Her career spans major TV appearances like The Voice, starring roles in The Lion King musical, and high-end international cabaret. Whether soaring above the audience or delivering an intimate moment, her performances promise goosebumps.
Felipe Reyes
Hanging by a Smile
Colombian-born, UK-based Felipe Reyes specialises in aerial acts and the jaw-dropping mouth-hanging discipline. He’s performed at the London Olympic Games Opening Ceremony and toured six continents. Earlier this year, he made his mainland Australian debut in Adelaide — now it’s Newcastle’s turn to see his world-class strength and control up close.
Diana Bondarenko
Elegance on the Trapeze
Ukrainian-born Diana Bondarenko brings a lyrical touch to the Pyramid Trapeze. Based in Germany, she blends her aerial artistry with a passion for music composition and photography. La Ronde marks her first Australian performance, where her graceful lines and sculptural shapes will be as captivating in stillness as in flight.
José Carlos Campos
The Clown with Cabaret Cred
Straight from Gran Canaria, José Carlos Campos brings charm, comedy and decades of cabaret experience to the Spiegeltent. Trained in ballet and dramatic arts, he’s performed at world-class venues including Crazy Horse Paris and Lío Ibiza. Expect razor-sharp timing, physical comedy, and a little old-school romance in his delightful mime act.
