High-octane rockers Eagles of Death Metal are bringing their Australian tour to Newcastle.
Promoters, Frontier Touring have announced that the Newcastle leg of the national tour will hit the stage at The Cambridge Hotel on 28 July 2023. Which is almost a month after the Farewell To The Cambridge Festival.
Good news – Maybe. Confusing – A little. Watch this space – Suppose so.
Wherever they play in Newcastle, the tour will mark the first time the band has played in Australia since their tour back in 2016
Frontman Jesse Hughes promises Aussie punters a night full of infectious feel-good vibes and pure unadulterated fun.
“Man, I have been itching to get back out there and play some live rock โnโ roll again to the best fans in the world,” Hughes said.
“John Steinbeck once said, โPeople donโt take trips, trips take peopleโโฆ This is an open invite to come take a trip with me and the band.”
EODM was formed in 1998 in Palm Desert, California, by best friends Jesse Hughes and Joshua Homme (Queens of the Stone Age), and has released four studio albums to date, plus an album of covers. The band also has a brand-new studio album set for worldwide release in late 2023.
While many fans will be keen to hear a preview of the new album, crowd favourites I Want You So Hard, WannaBe In LA, Complexity, and Miss Alissa are sure to be the big numbers of the set.
Eagles of Death Metal will play The โCambridge Hotel (?) on Friday 28 July. Tickets for their Australian and New Zealand shows go on sale next Wednesday 26 April (11 am local time), with Frontier Members able to get early access via the Presale starting on Monday.
