Secret Book Stuff
📍 Online

Secret Book Stuff is taking a break during 2025, but we couldn’t put this guide together without mentioning Amy and Laura. Not knowing what to do with the teetering piles of books around her home, Amy started wrapping them in brown paper and leaving them around her hometown of Newcastle as random acts of kindness in 2017. As we await their return, be sure to check out their podcast.

Q’s Books
📍 115 Beaumont Street, Hamilton

A true gem in the heart of Hamilton, Q’s Books is a haven for second-hand book lovers. With shelves stacked high with pre-loved titles across all genres—from classic literature and sci-fi to cookbooks and children’s stories—it’s the kind of place where you never know what you’ll find.
