This month, Women in Australian Wine will be raising their glasses in style for a luncheon at Crystalbrook Kingsley.
It’s the fourth in a series of lunches that celebrate Women in Australian Wine and promises to be an exciting gathering of wine enthusiasts and foodies alike.
The Women In Australian Wine series is a celebration of the innovation of women winemakers. It provides a platform for guests to hear about the industry through their lens, and get to know why they are leaders in the industry.
“Through the Women In Australian Wine event, we are celebrating the innovation of our women winemakers, hearing about the industry through their lens, and getting to know why they are leaders in the industry,” Bernadette Summers, the founder of Taste in the City said.
An event for everyone who loves good food, good wine, and good company, it’s a great opportunity to spend some quality time with friends, colleagues, or loved ones and could also make for a great gift for Mother’s Day.
The event will feature three incredible women in wine, Karin Adcock, Savannah Peterson, and Kate Sturgess. It will be hosted by Peter Everett, a well-known TV presenter best known for hosting Ready Steady Cook.
Karin Adcock of Winmark Wines (formerly Pooles Rock) has over 20 years of experience in business and has established Pandora Jewellery here in Australia. She took over the winery in 2016 and has since restored the property to its former glory and has produced award-winning Chardonnays.
Savannah Peterson comes from a long line of winemakers and is the third-generation winemaker of Savannah estate.
Kate Sturgess of Brokenwood Wines joined Brokenwood in 2015 and was promoted to winemaker in 2019. Kate was also named in the Top 50 of 2018 Young Guns of Wine – she was the Hunter Valley’s sole representative and one of four to be selected from NSW.
