Spotify Australia is hitting the road this month, visiting 30 regional locations across the East Coast. Stopping in Newcastle and Lake Macquarie on Thursday December 15th

To celebrate coming to Newcastle, Spotify have used geo-targeted streaming data to chart Newcastle’s favourite artists, tracks and albums.

So, without further ado, the Top 5 most popular arists in Newcastle are…

While hip hop megastar Drake was the most streamed artist in the world for 2016, he couldn’t beat Ed Sheeran as Newcastle’s most streamed artist. Sheeran also pulled out the top gong for ‘Most Streamed Album’ here in Newcastle.

Spotify will be bringing their Summer Tour Truck to Newcastle on Thursday December 15. The custom built truck features a unique pool party themed interactive photobooth. Visitors will have the opportunity to have their photo taken in the photobooth, and be given the chance to win summer party themed on-the-spot prizes.
