THE FRONT LINE: A tough year for General Practitioners and administrative staff

Between lockdowns, a lack of supply of COVID vaccinations, it’s been a tough 12 months for local General Practitioners and their administrative staff.

Practices rose to the challenge when asked to roll out the initial vaccination but confusing messaging, abuse from patients, people not showing up for appointments and continual changes have really knocked a lot of them.

Lesley Crombie, the Practice Manager at Mayfield Medical Connection says that their latest concern is throwing out vaccinations that are out of date or not all used.
