Tom Gleeson is heading to town for 12 intimate shows at the Newcastle Comedy Club.
The Logie Award winner will take over the Darby Street venue from Tuesday, 30 May until Sunday, 11 June.
These shows are a rare opportunity to see a gold-plated comedy superstar work on a small stage with brand-new material, ideas and insults.
For over two decades, Tom has commanded the stage as one of Australia’s most beloved stand-up comedians, entertaining audiences with his razor-sharp wit.
From rowdy RSL clubs to the prestigious Sydney Opera House, Tom has left no crowd untouched, effortlessly handling hecklers and leaving a trail of laughter in his wake.
On ABC-TV’s The Weekly, Tom’s segment, Hard Chat, fearlessly took aim at a wide range of personalities, including Karl Stefanovic, Sophie Monk, Barnesy, the Proclaimers, and Albo.
The success of Hard Chat led to the creation of Hard Quiz, a quiz show that has dominated the ratings for seven seasons and counting.
