Tim Minchin is bringing his uniquely witty, musical, and theatrical talents to Newcastle’s Entertainment Centre next week.

The show, part of his ironically titled Songs The World Will Never Hear tour, celebrates the 20th anniversary of his career-defining Dark Side performance.

The multi-talented performer, singer-songwriter, pianist, comedian, actor, and musical-theatre composer-lyricist is known for blending razor-sharp humour with heartfelt storytelling.

Audiences can expect a mix of original songs, comedic riffs, and storytelling that has earned Minchin a dedicated following around the world.

Minchin’s career spans award-winning live shows across the UK, US, and Australia, including his most recent tour Back, seen by over a quarter of a million people.

He is also the composer-lyricist of the hit musical Matilda, which recently celebrated ten years on London’s West End, and co-writer and star of the acclaimed TV series Upright.

Fans will also experience Minchin’s signature blend of satirical humour and musical virtuosity that made him a household name with shows like So F**king Rock, Ready For This?, and his live albums with the Heritage Orchestra at the Royal Albert Hall.

Over the years, he has earned three honorary doctorates and a place in the Order of Australia, cementing his impact on both arts and culture.

The tour marks a return to his roots, delivering an intimate yet exhilarating evening of music, theatre, and comedy that bridges generations. Whether revisiting old favourites or discovering new material, Newcastle audiences can expect a show that’s equal parts smart, moving, and wildly entertaining.
