If you are at all like me, the classic Wednesday night Student based outing has faded away and the standard outing options for evenings is basically weekends. BUT! Iโ€™m thinking about changing this, mixing it up. Think about Thursday for a second. For most of us there is just one more working day left, meaning, if you decide to go a little bit harder on the beverages then it is only one day left to get through and then it is rest day. Also, Thursday is usually a little bit cheaper so you can maximise value with the dollars as well as the fact that isnโ€™t everyone sick of cooking by Thursday?

The best news is that with the coming warmer weather there are 2 great options!

1 – Soundbite @ The Edwards by DJ Perry Carter

A musical pairing to food. This event promises to match the perfect meals with a classic album and to kick things off this week they have Massive Attackโ€™s Blue Lines, an obviously phenomenal release from 1991 that Iโ€™m confident will be a gigantic launch. Then it is on the 2nd Thursday of every month from here on in

2 – Thursday Night Live @ Cambridge Hotel with host Jaytee Hazard

Kicking things off with KLLO a cool as duo from Melbourne. TNL promises to bring the best emerging artists locally and nationally to the city. Add to this a local hero of a DJ Jaytee and it is sure to be a party worth dropping in for. First event is September 15th so you have a little time to prep.

So think about it. Thursdays. The perfect evening to catch up with a friend or two and check out some cool music, have some food or just a couple of beverages and stop worrying, it is Friday #Friyay tomorrow.
