English indie rockers, The Wombats have announced they’ll be in Australia later this year for a tour that includes a date in Newcastle.
Newcastle University’s Bar on the Hill will play host to the Liverpudlians who will be armed with tracks from their 2022 album, Fix Yourself, Not The World.
“We’re missing being down under already…sooo we’re coming back to AUS this November,” the band said on Facebook.
The announcement comes accompanied by a new single in the form of the eponymous Is This What It Feels Like To Feel Like This?
“I remember driving past an extremely rundown hotel and wondering what the hell could be going on in there, and that’s where this song was born,” frontman Matthew “Murph” Murphy said about the new tune
“It’s about catching someone in a compromising situation that’s very unusual for their specific character and is far more fitting for your own.”
The Wombats will play Bar on the Hill in Newcastle on Friday, 9 December 2022.
