The Superjesus have reminded a staple of Australian rock radio since the release of their 1998 debut album, Sumo. And now they’re back with a brand new single, Money (Weโ€™re Only In It For Love).

Original members, Sarah McLeod and Stuart Rudd have joined forces with lead guitarist Cam Blokland and drummer Murray Sheridan on the new song which hails a new dawn for the band that burst out of the Adelaide music scene in the late ’90s.

“We have had many line-up changes over the years in our quest to find the right โ€œfitโ€. Weโ€™ve had it before and when you knowโ€ฆ you know,” McLeod said.

“Ruddy and I have been searching for that feeling ever since. Weโ€™ve continued to tour over the years but havenโ€™t released any new albums because we knew the band wasnโ€™t ready.”

โ€œSome incredibly difficult decisions were made. After our years of experience, we knew it was time to change the chemistry in the band, and we took a year or more to find the right replacements. Fortunately, we found some amazingly talented souls in Murray Sheridan and Cam Blokland.” Rudd said.

Recorded at Murrayโ€™s studio, Studio 85 in the Blue Mountains, the new single is both faithful to the power of the band’s back catalogue with a definite nod to pub rock attitude.

Money (Weโ€™re Only In It For Love) joins a healthy alumnus of Superjesus songs which have earned the band three ARIA Award wins, two Top 10 albums, 9 Top 50 hits and an induction into the South Australian Music Hall of Fame.
