A slice of Los Angeles’ musical history will roll into the Hunter next month when The Sunset Sessions hit the stage at Cessnock Performing Arts Centre.
Brought to you by the team behind A Very Die Hard Christmas and Foxtel’s Fire Fight Australia the show features a 5-piece band that will take you on a musical journey through the mega-hits of pop, rock and soul that originated from the legendary Sunset Boulevard in Los Angeles.
From Sonny & Cher and the surf sounds of The Beach Boys, to the on-stage acrobatics of Van Halen and Guns & Roses, it’s a tour of the Sunset Boulevard clubs that ignited an explosion of music and pop culture that eventually took over the world.
The band features lead vocalist Ray Ray Vavasis and the award-winning guitar skills of Ewan Lund who picked up a Sydney Blues Society Member’s Choice Award in 2022.
They’re backed by bassist Tomas Hills, keyboardist Mitchell Sloane, and drummer Mick O’Shea who’s played with everyone from Swanee to Richie Sambora.
