Herb your enthusiasm, because the Newcastle Garden Awards are back for 2022!
After the success of the inaugural event last year, judges will once again shine the light on the most amazing gardens across Newcastle and Lake Macquarie.
Owners of gardens of shapes and sizes are welcome to enter with award categories for Best Garden over 2000sqm, Best Garden under 2000sqm, Best Small Spaces Garden and Best Apartment Garden.
“After the success of the inaugural Awards in 2021 we expect to see even more entries in 2022,” Newcastle Garden Awards Founder, Michael Edwards said.
“The quality of the entries and in particular the winners in 2022 set an extremely high benchmark, but with the interest generated from last year we expect even more entries that will continue to push forward the high standard of gardens.”
Winning gardens are selected by a Judging Panel that looks at plant selection, hard landscaping and careful maintenance.
But there is also a chance for the public to have its say on the best garden People’s Choice Award which is decided by social media vote.
The 2022 Newcastle Garden Awards
Gardeners will have from Monday 17 October 2022 until Friday 18 November 2022 to submit their entries via photos of their gardens.
Finalists for the Newcastle Garden Awards will be announced on Wednesday 23 November 2022 with the awards handed down on Wednesday 30 November 2022.
