US folk-rock giants The Lumineers are bringing their acclaimed Automatic World Tour to Newcastle Entertainment Centre in January, marking their first Australian visit in four years.

The just-announced Newcastle date joins a string of sold-out shows across the country, promising an electrifying night of heartfelt anthems and soul-stirring storytelling.

Fresh from a massive North American run that ended with a triumphant finale in Mexico City, the two-time GRAMMY nominees continue to cement their reputation as one of the world’s most captivating live acts.

Known for hits like Ho Hey, Ophelia, Cleopatra and Stubborn Love, The Lumineers have turned festival fields and arenas into intimate, sing-along gatherings that blur the line between performer and audience.

Joining them on all Australian dates will be US indie favourites The Head and the Heart, touring off the back of their critically acclaimed sixth album Aperture.

With their trademark harmonies and shimmering energy, the Seattle six-piece are set to be the perfect complement to The Lumineers’ raw, emotional style.

The Lumineers’ latest chapter, Automatic, marks 20 years of songwriting excellence for founding members Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites.

The album builds on the pair’s signature mix of Americana, alt-rock and heartfelt lyricism: the sound that’s carried them to over six billion streams, multiple Billboard nominations, and headline slots at festivals like Glastonbury and Bonnaroo.

Fans can expect a career-spanning set filled with both new material and beloved favourites, performed with the signature intimacy and passion of The Lumineers.

The Lumineers will bring the Automatic World Tour to Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Thursday 15 January 2026. Tickets go on sale Thursday, 30 October at 2pm via frontiertouring.com/thelumineers, with a Frontier Members presale beginning Wednesday, 29 October at 1pm.
