The Kombis are coming!

The Kombi Club of Australia will convoy into Lake Macquarie this easter as part of their yearly Bus Stop.

On Easter Saturday the social club, a group approximately 80 plus, KOMVOY from Swansea to Warners Bay along the lakeside, stopping at Belmont 16s for a photo shoot at 9am.

All local kombians are welcome to join uin. The cruise will finish at Warners Bay car park behind the shops for locals to check out the iconic vehicles & have a chat to owners.


The Bus Stop began 11 years ago when a handful of Kombi enthusiasts got together & camped for the weekend. One of the founders owns a business called Bus Stop, selling Kombi parts hence the name. Roy also built the website The Kombi Club of Australia Forums where owners & lovers of Kombi’s can share stories of their vehicle, events in states across the country etc.

  2. Hi Margaret so sorry but we can’t make your event. Shame as being a local would’ve been great also the count has gone up & parking for now 100 + Kombi’s would be a nightmare. Hope your day is a great success cheers

      The event is on both days, Saturday and Sunday
      Either down Victory Parade and up the Boulevarde or the opposite

  3. Will the be anywhere where the general public can admire and take photos of the Kombis?

    I have a long term goal (probably about 5 years time) of owning a splitty. Don’t have many practical skills to do the work myself so contacts within a Club would be great.
