But with 40 taps of deliciousness on offer, it’s hard to know where to start. So we’ve put together a list of must-try brews for all you craft beer lovers out there.

Barrel Aged Saison

The Thirsty Messiah’s Barrel-Aged Saison is a must-try for fans of complex, refined brews. This is a beer drinkers beer. Aged in oak barrels it’s got a mix of vanilla and woodsy undertones with fruity and spicy notes. It’s got a really interesting feel in the mouth with just the right amount of effervescence.

Czech Dark Lager

Thirsty Messiahโ€™s Czech Dark Lager is a 2024 Gold Award Winning brew loved for its smooth, malty flavour made with traditional Czech brewing methods. It’s got a deep amber-brown hue and creamy tan head, and that beer delivers comforting aromas of toasted bread, caramel, and a touch of cocoa. Even if you don’t generally indulge in dark beers, we reckon you should give this one a go. It’s light-bodied and incredibly drinkable, with a clean, crisp finish.

Newcastle Brown Ale

If you miss the once-common Newcastle Brown Ale tap at your local, then you need to try this. While it’s billed as a tribute to the classic English style, this is the real deal. It’s got a deep mahogany colour, moderately sweet, but finishes dry and with a subtle bitterness, making it well-balanced and approachable even if you’ve never tried the original.

Barrel Aged Brettanomyces

For adventurous beer enthusiasts, Thirsty Messiahโ€™s Barrel-Aged Brettanomyces is a bold, funky brew that pushes boundaries. It’s fermented with Brettanomyces yeast and aged in oak barrels, resulting in an intricate tapestry of flavours. The flavor profile balances tart stone fruits like apricot and peach, with an underlying earthy bitterness and hints of oak from the barrel aging. The best way to describe it is that it’s an exciting journey for your mouth.

Vienna Lager

If you’re looking for balance then this is it. It’s a very malt-forward lager that pours a rich amber colour and gives off a slightly sweet aroma. A mild hop bitterness rounds out the sweetness, giving it a crisp, clean finish that keeps you coming back for another sip. Itโ€™s a timeless brew for a reason and one that Thomas does really well.
