So many of The Fast Lane customers pick up their happiness in a cup on the way to the park that the staff have become quite knowledgeable about the best parks to take a carload of kids to.

You can check out their recommendations below…

EMPIRE PARK: A beautiful sea breeze

WHY IT MADE THE LIST: You can’t talk about the best parks in Newcastle without mentioning Empire Park. There’s play equipment for the little one and a few things to do for the older kids too. Plus, there is heaps of space to run around and kick a ball. And with the beach just over the road, it’s the perfect park for a summer afternoon.

WHERE TO FIND IT: On the corner of Bar Beach Avenue and Kilgour Avenue in Bar Beach.

ISLINGTON PARK: A soft place to fall

WHY IT MADE THE LIST: If your little acrobats need a soft place to fall, then look no further. There are swings, a fireman’s pole and heaps of things to climb. And if you’ve got the room in the car, make sure you pack the scooters. The Islington park track is awesome and will help burn off heaps of energy.

WHERE TO FIND IT: Just down the road from The Fast Lane Drive-Thru on Maitland Road in Islington.

TOURLE STREET RESERVE: A climbers challenge

WHY IT MADE THE LIST: Do you have a climber? There’s one in every family. Well, this is the park you need to get all that climbing out of your little one’s system. There are stacks of things to climb at this park that overlooks Mayfield and with a Fast Lane coffee in hand you’ll be good for an extra 50 pushes on the swing.

WHERE TO FIND IT: You can find the park on Shelley Close in Mayfield West.

KING EDWARD PARK: A bridge between

WHY IT MADE THE LIST: The iconic King Edward Park is home to one of the best places to take the kids for a play. There’s a softfall area with heaps of stuff to climb and explore for the little ones and the swinging bridge and a bit of cardboard to slide down the hill will keep the older ones entertained too. There’s heaps to do here so your coffee will come in handy.

WHERE TO FIND IT: Take a trip up York Drive on The Hill

STEVENSON PARK: A bouncers paradise

WHY IT MADE THE LIST: A playground with a trampoline is pretty rare, but Stevenson Park in Mayfield West is home to these awesome in-ground trampolines that will entertain your energy monsters for ages. And if they prefer bouncing balls, there’s a basketball half court with an interchangeable netball ring too.

WHERE TO FIND IT: After you grab a coffee from The Fast Lane, you can bounce your way to Stevenson Avenue in Mayfield West.
