A new service in Hamilton South has launched with the aim to give kids access to clean clothes.
OMO Australia and not-for-profit organisation Orange Sky, the worldโs first mobile laundry and shower service, have teamed up to expand the number of free laundry services they offer including a location at Catholic Care in Hamilton South.
Beyond clean clothes, Orange Skyโs services also offer hours of genuine, non-judgemental conversation and connection that take place between their volunteers and people accessing their services.
“Since launching Orange Sky, Iโve seen people in some really tough situations, including young families whose kids werenโt in school due to not having clean uniforms,” Orange Sky Co-Founder and CEO, Lucas Patchett said.
“Not only does Orange Sky provide an essential service, but it also offers a safe, welcoming, and non-judgemental place. Thanks to OMO, weโre going to be able to continue to grow our services and reach more people in need.”
People needing to access the Orange Sky Confidence Cycle service at Catholic Care on Fowler Street in Hamilton South should visit orangesky.org.au for more information.
