It was the hottest ticket in town on Friday night.
The Angels were celebrating the 40th anniversary of their classic No Exit album and gave a sold-out crowd at Belmont 16s TWO all killer no filler sets.
The first was a powerhouse performance of the seminal sophomore album, that included such cits as Mr Damage, and Shadow Boxer while the second a formidable collection of hits and rarities from The Angels’ long and illustrious career.
Dave Gleeson came dressed to impress, in a tuxedo-esque getup similar to the one worn by Angels legendary frontman Doc Neeson their classic 1979 Live at La Trobe University and was flanked by the cool-as-a-cucumber twin guitar attack of John and Rick Brewster.
