Fresh off her triumphant arena tour, eight-time ARIA Award-winning singer-songwriter Amy Shark will hit Newcastle early next year as part of her national Songs and Stories tour.

The tour will see Shark hit the stage at the Civic Theatre armed just with her guitar for one of the most intimate performances of her career.

Swapping her usual high-energy production for an acoustic performance will give fans the chance to hear her much-loved hits like never before and get an insight into the stories behind each song and a glimpse into the songwriting process.

Sharkโ€™s rise began in 2016 when her six-time platinum hit Adore seemed to be playing on every speaker around the country. Subsequent hits like I Said Hi and Mess Her Up have only added to her impressive accolades, including APRA Song of the Year and multiple chart-topping singles.

The award-winning artist will be taking rising singer-songwriter Amรฉlie Farren on the road with her to open each show on the tour, offering audiences a taste of her soulful sound to start the evening.

Amy Shark hits the Civic Theatre on Wednesday, 5 February. Tickets for the Songs and Stories tour go on sale at 10am (local time) on Wednesday, December 18, and are expected to sell quickly. Visit livenation.com.au to find out more.
