To me sushi is the perfect meal for any occasion. It’s just the cuisine that tends to tick all the boxes wherever and whenever we need it too. Need a portable snack on the go? Sushi. Want to be a little #healthconscious but don’t have much time? Sushi. Want to treat yourself and watch food glide passed you? Sushi – obviously. But, where do you get yours? Where is the best Sushi in Newcastle?
Sushi Revolution
I love this place and it’s not just because the name works on so many different levels. The service is great and the staff are more than ready and willing to help you with your choices that you feel you must be missing out on, you know the ones that aren’t on the delicious and never-ending train?
Sushi Koo
Before I start this little bit, I will do a bit of a shout out to the little Sushi Koo kiosk that used to occupy the mall (RIP) The staff were always friendly, and it really was an institution for most Novocastrians. But hey, the saga in the mall is another story for another time. Thankfully though, they are still alive and well in the Junction and they are one of the best in Newcastle when it comes to the takeaway roll. Also, they don’t use plastic to wrap their rolls individually so #winning.
Sushi Bay
Look sure, it’s a big chain and there are probably a billion Sushi Bays here there and everywhere. But, the way I see it is, we should think ourselves lucky that we have one right here in Newcastle. Well, Charlestown anyway. These guys really ramp up the whole sushi trin shebang and I would highly recommend.
Asa-Don
Back in town we go to another Newcastle institution, Asa-Don. Not only do they serve incredible sushi, the folks at Asa-Don whip up some incredible sushi as well.
Nagisa
And last but certainly not least, Nagisa in Honeysuckle. Arguably the best Japanese restaurant in Newcastle, Nagisa are very well known for their sushi, and excellent sashimi. So if that’s your thing, look no further. You won’t be disappointed.
