It’s officially been two years since we launched the Warehouse Sessions — our intimate live music video series spotlighting some of the most exciting talent from Newcastle and beyond.

From raw acoustic moments to full-band energy in a gritty, atmospheric setting, we’re very proud to say that the series has quickly become a go-to platform for music discovery in the region, especially for emerging local artists.

The first few sessions were recorded on a Zoom H5 (which only has two channels and is battery-powered), but despite the lack of equipment, we were able to capture some of our favourite Hunter-based artists, including Melody Pool, Cormac Grant and Georgie Winchester.

Since then, we’ve acquired a multitrack desk, some better tripods, and we’ve been able to spruce up our stage with opshop found decorations, setlists and posters from the artists who have joined us in the shed.

As we mark this milestone, Newcastle Live remains committed to supporting the city’s vibrant music scene and providing a stage for artists to shine and for you to find your next favourite act.

Thank you to the musicians who have trusted us with their music and given their time and energy to be part of the Warehouse Sessions. Here’s to another year of raw talent, stripped-back renditions, and unforgettable sessions in the warehouse.
