Olympic gold medal-winning speed skater Steven Bradbury will be in Newcastle on 10 June to share his story at a fundraising luncheon for a local youth scholarship and mentoring program.
Funds from the luncheon will help Home in Place (formerly Compass Housing) provide Grow A Star scholarships that fund social and affordable housing for disadvantaged youth.
He caught up with Newcastle in the Morning ahead of his visit.
