Newcastle’s much-loved Hill to Harbour event is back for 2025, offering runners, walkers, and wheelchair participants a chance to take on a stunning coastal course while soaking in the best views the city has to offer.

The main attraction, the 12km Hill to Harbour, kicks off at Bar Beach and winds its way along Newcastle’s breathtaking coastline before finishing in Carrington. This course showcases the city’s most scenic spots, giving participants a picturesque backdrop as they take on the challenge.

For those wanting a shorter route, the 6km Halfa Hill to Harbour starts at The Station Newcastle, while the 2K-4-FUN event is perfect for a quick and enjoyable 2km dash.

Participants can run, walk, or roll in a wheelchair, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to be part of the action. They can also choose to raise funds for a charity close to their hearts, making every step count for a greater cause.

With a history of attracting enthusiastic crowds and fostering a strong sense of community, Hill to Harbour is a celebration of fitness, fun, and Newcastle’s spectacular natural beauty.

For those keen to push their endurance even further, the Newcastle marathon is set to take place just two weeks later, on 19 April.
