WHAT IS SMOKE IN BROKE?
The event also features BBQ competitions, markets, live music, cooking demonstration, tastings, and plenty of good times for ticket holders.
Sanctioned competitions for both the Australasian Barbecue Alliance and a Steak Cookoff Association are a cornerstone of the two festival days giving people a chance to get up close and personal to the best pitmasters and BBQ experts in the country.
Smoke In Broke runs for two days with tickets available for either Saturday or Sunday.
Limited weekend passes are available, with tasting tokens included, but get in quick as these are expected to sell out before the big weekend.
Proceeds from the tasting tokens go directly to the local Broke Public School. So you’re doing something good for the local community and your belly by purchasing them.
You’ll also need to grab a ticket for your kids but children under 14 get in for free.
This year the festival has will include a Steak Cookoff Association competition on Saturday and an Australasian Barbecue Alliance competition on Sunday.
Both Competitions are sanctioned and give budding pitmasters and novice bbq slingers a chance to catch demonstrations and talk all things BBQ with the experts.
