You know when you’re having one of those days, where your brain doesn’t exactly keep up with your mind and you’re feeling like a nostalgic and emotional mess. I was, and actually probably am having one of those days today, but thankfully there’s some great new local music flowing about this week. Our single of the day comes from The Girl Folder with their track ‘Once More Into the Night’.
I guess I’d really describe it as that nostalgic laid back alternative indie/rock that you’d be happy to have hang about in amongst your ears all day. The whole track builds well, slowly encapsulating each intricate piece, perfectly layering their sound. Each lyric is planned, concise and fits just like that crumpled poem you’ve been keeping in your pocket for weeks now.
This one is for fans of Snow Patrol, Kodaline, Imagine Dragons and everything in between. But most importantly, they’re local so ya know, it’s even better.
