A Winter wonderland is coming to Hunter Valley Gardens, and it’s bringing a whole lot of snow, thrills, and family fun with it.
Snow Time in the Garden is back at Hunter Valley Gardens from 28 June to 27 July 2025, transforming the grounds into a wintery playground packed with icy adventures, rides, entertainment, and more.
Whether you’re keen to zip down a toboggan, glide across real ice, or simply soak up the festive atmosphere, this year’s event promises something for everyone.
Cool Fun for All Ages
From 9:30am to 4:30pm daily, the Snow Play Zone offers the perfect spot to build snowmen, make snow angels or just enjoy the feel of real, man-made snow. Gloves are a must!
Looking for more speed? The 45-metre Giant Ice Toboggan is back, ready to send thrill-seekers zooming down the slope on inflatable tubes. No extra ticket needed – it’s all included in the entry price.
Lace Up for Ice Skating
The Ice Skating Rinks (yes, real ice!) are open daily from 10am to 4:30pm. Skating sessions are free with your ticket, but spots are limited, so it’s first come, first served. Skating tickets are handed out from 9:30am near the top of the waterfall.
Kids aged six and under can rent Bobby Seals – adorable seal skating aids – for $6 per session. Helmets, skates, and hair nets are provided free of charge, and little ones must wear helmets on the rink.
Interactive Adventures and Entertainment
This year introduces the Abominable Adventure — an interactive scavenger hunt across the Gardens. Grab a map at the gate and follow the clues to help free a Frozen Yeti from his icy trap. It’s fun, active, and totally family-friendly.
On weekends and select weekdays, expect live roaming performances from Little Scallywagz and The Pretty Amazing Jono between 10am and 2pm. Keep your camera ready — these entertainers love a photo op!
Classic Carnival Vibes
Carnival rides run from 10am to 4:30pm and cost $6 each, or $30 for a six-ticket pass. Crowd favourites like the Ferris Wheel, Superslide, Carousel, and Swing Chair will be spinning daily (weather permitting). Ride ticket sales close at 4pm, with the final ride kicking off at 4:15pm.
Foodie Heaven in the Frost
Refuel with a mouth-watering range of food and drinks available throughout the Gardens. From woodfire pizzas and loaded fries to sushi, Indian snacks, churros, and BBQ bratwurst, the menu covers all cravings. The Garden Terrace Café also offers a sit-down option with a full café menu and warm drinks.
