The Stack is back!
Yep, that’s right. Ahead of their anticipated Cambridge show later this year, Budgewoi’s favourite sons Short Stack have dropped a brand spanking new single that is sure to get you keen for the three piece’s Newy jaunt.
Following on from the band’s March drop and their first single in six years with Burn You Down, the latest Live4, is a brooding belter that has anthemic stadium rock written all over it.
After the release of Burn You Down, a decidedly heavier offering to previous Short Stack efforts, frontman Shaun Diviney said that single number two needed to be ‘massive’ – a feat that Live4 accomplishes in spades.

“Live4 is song is about celebrating being the underdog,” Shaun said in a statement.
“We wanted a huge, anthemic song that would feel massive live. Choirs are something we’ve never done before, but we really wanted the chorus to explode.”
In March, Short Stack inked a deal with Melbourne-based label UNFD to a swell of praise, excitement and surprise at their first new music after a 6-year hiatus.
With the single Burn You Down and the follow up reveal of Burn You Down (Acoustic) debuting on Australian and US radio alike, Short Stack have re-stamped their name on the world’s consciousness as one of Australia’s most successful homegrown acts.
The trio celebrated their rebirth with an intimate show at Sydney’s Crowbar which sold out in a matter of seconds and released a Burn You Down 7″ featuring the original and acoustic versions to another quick sell-out response.
So, yeah. It’s pretty much a free kick that the Cambridge show is going to be awesome!
