Today, local 5-piece indie-rock band Science Rockets released their brand new single, Eyes Closed.
Formed from the remnants of The Girl Folder, Science Rockets are framed with the vision to create a sound that brought together layers of reverb, delay with huge breakdowns.
They spent a year writing, recording and mixing a body of work to launch at a show they had planned at Lizotte’s in Newcastle. And then the pandemic struck.
All their hard work and dedication to their new sound had heartbreakingly came to nothing. But the band decided to push on. Since then they’ve released a “live performance” on YouTube called “The Social Distance Sessions” and are now unveiling their single.
Eyes Closed is now available on all streaming platforms and you can check out the video clip on Youtube.
