T-Rex will be roaming the Museum and happily posing for photos. It may only be a puppet, but it sure does have big teeth!
Teddy Bearโs Picnic
Bring your favourite bear and get buzzzzy making bees and flowers together.Free entry. Craft tables and facepainting $2 each.
Science Show
Find out about balloon powered toys including a hovercraft. Learn to amaze your friends
School Holiday Activities at the Newcastle Art Gallery
Torchlight Tour
Grab a hot chocolate and listen to stories of Mimih Spirits around the Gallery campfire before making art and touring exhibitions by torchlight.
Art Workshops
In week one, make paper chandeliers and structural forms. In week two make Mimih Spirit puppets.
Art Cart
A free hands-on art making experience every weekend for children of all ages.

NAIDOC Week holiday activities from July 7 – 11
Craft at City Library
Drop in and enjoy indigenous craft activities; Weave a wedge-tail eagle totem, create an indigenous environment plate and learn about bush food.
Activities and workshops
Get creative! Make NAIDOC week inspired sculptures, bead and shell jewellery, banners to decorate the library and woven animal sculptures. Hear Awabakal stories.
Junior Ranger Fun Day
To coincide with NAIDOC week, children will learn about Australiaโs Indigenous culture through craft, games and interactive activities.

Location: Richley Reserve, top flat (Freyberg St)
