Hot on the heels of her stellar performance at Live At The Foreshore earlier this year, Kate Ceberabo is heading back to our part of the world, but this time around, things are bound to get a little jazzy.
That’s right, Kate will headline this year’s Jazz In The Vineyards at Hope Estate on Saturday 7 December.
The iconic chanteuse will be joined by Aussie jazzman John Morrison and his Swing City Band featuring Jacki Cooper, The Aston Martinis and The Djangologists.
Kate will be delivering a set full of her greatest hits and if you’ve seen her in full flight you’d know that Kate Ceberano always delivers on stage.
“I am such a fan of Kate Ceberano and my friends and I just love this event,” Karen Hope of hope Estate said.
“It’s such a wonderful time of the year to sit outdoors in the sunshine with a cheese platter, a glass of bubbles, have a laugh and take in the atmosphere of the day. Jazz in the Vineyards just feels like a party Michael and I might have at home with friends, we’re just inviting everyone in NSW to come along.”
John Morrison’s Swing City Band featuring Jacki Cooper is a 14 piece big band performing traditional jazz, swing, funk and jazz-rock pieces.
John Morrison is one of the most recognisable and sought after jazz drummers working in Australia today. Known as ‘The Cat in the Hat’, he continues to delight audiences with his humour and performance.
The Aston Martinis meanwhile are a four piece thats all about getting crowds up off their feet and tapping their toes to some of the finest swing going around while The Djangologists are a duo that revel in the gypsy manouche style of the great Django Reinhardt.
To make things even easier for out of town punters, Rover Coaches will be offering pick-ups from Newcastle, Maitland, Lake Macquarie, Singleton and the Hunter Valley.
Set on the rolling lawns of Hope Estate’s amphitheatre, the day will also give you the chance to enjoy a slow lunch, estate-grown wine, fresh craft beer, markets and a kids’ zone, all to the lively big band jazz tunes and classic
hits.
