Touring With The Legend: A Tribute to Rodriguez, a powerful celebration of one of the world’s most iconic artists, is headed to Qirkz In The Hunter this May.
More than just a tribute show, the must-see event will dive into the life and legacy of the mysterious Detroit musician made famous by the Oscar-winning documentary Searching for Sugarman.
The band comprises musicians who toured with Rodriguez for over two decades, including his close friend and accomplished guitarist Graham Gillot.

“This show is a celebration of the man, his music, and the incredible journey we shared.”
With first-hand stories and rare footage from Rodriguez’s final tours, the evening promises a mix of nostalgia and revelation. You’ll find out what really happened the the royalties, how Searching for Sugarman reshaped the musician’s fame, and hear tales of a lost third album that never made it to the studio.
Audiences can expect to hear some of Rodriguez’s most beloved songs I Wonder, Sugarman, Crucify Your Mind, Street Boy, and Establishment Blues – All performed by those who knew him intimately.
