Raise Your Glass for this weekend’s Hunter Valley Wine & Beer Festival

Over 50 wineries, distilleries, premium craft beer and cider producers will descend on Rydges Resort in the Hunter Valley this Saturday for the 2024 Hunter Valley Wine and Beer Festival.

Like previous years the event promises a day of indulgence and entertainment with a stack of activities for the kids including a jumping castle and train rides, and there will be plenty to eat and drink.

In fact one of the best things about the Wine and Beer Festival is the the diverse array of culinary delights on offer from the various food vendors on site. Look out for the Hunter Belle Cheese plates and the guys from BAO Chicka BAO Wow.

Another highlight of the event is the live music. This year country pop artist Ella Powell will be on stage for the early crowd followed by the dynamic Blue Vinyl Band.

But let’s be honest, we’re not here for the food, kids’ activities or even the music. We’re here for the bevies! Here are three producers we think you’d be mad to miss on your way around the festival.

SIPPS MARGARITAS: These guys are making margarita mixes that actually taste good. This is not your dusty bottle shop mix, this is the mix you’d gladly put with good tequila. Make sure you check ’em out.

WILLIE THE BOATMAN: Marrickville beer Barrons, Willie the Boatman has made some pretty beers over the years. They were originally a big hit in their brewpub, but more recently people all around the country have been getting on the Willie. Try the
Nectar NEIPA – it’s tasty as.

HUNTER WINE LAB: These folks are taking wine-making to new places. If you’ve never tried their Prosecco before, this is your chance… And you’ll probably be going home with a bottle.

The 2024 Hunter Valley Wine and Beer Festival is happening at Rydges Resort in Lovedale on Saturday 13th July 2024. For tickets and event information visit
