Multiple ARIA and Grammy award winner Keith Urban will play his first Australian shows in more than two years in 2021 and, in what is great news for Newcastle fans, we will get the first look-in!
Yep, that’s right. Keith will kick off the Australian leg of his The Speed of Now world tour at the Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 1 December 2021 so, start marking those calendars now.
Hot on the heels of his massive eleventh studio album The Speed Of Now Part 1, Keith said in a statement that he couldn’t wait to get back out in front of live crowds.
“Releasing The Speed Of Now this year, and seeing it embraced so quickly and so passionately, was truly phenomenal. But this album is built to play live, and waiting on that has been ‘teeth grinding,’” he said.
“I’m literally jonesing to get back on the road and do what we love to do. C’mon 2021!”
The tour will see Keith deliver a huge, state-of-the-art production set, peppered with his best-known hits including, Wasted Time, Blue Ain’t Your Colour, and Long Hot Summer, as well as of course, tracks from the number one charting The Speed Of Now Part 1.
Since its release, the album, which includes the hit One Too Many featuring P!nk, has cracked sales and radio charts in Australia, the U.K., Japan, Germany, the Netherlands, China, Russia, Belgium and South Africa.
It simultaneously debuted at number one on the charts in Australia, the US and Canada thanks to such tracks as Polaroid, Superman and Out the Cage, which features Breland and the funk/pop icon Nile Rodgers.
