Queens of the Stone Age are returning to Newcastle this December, with the rock heavyweights bringing a brand-new live show to Newcastle Entertainment Centre alongside special guests Primus and Tropical Fuck Storm.
The acclaimed US band will perform in Newcastle on 16 December as part of a seven-date Australia and New Zealand tour, marking their first visit to the region since 2024.
The run follows an extensive European tour with System of a Down and upcoming US dates with Foo Fighters, with Australian audiences set to be the first to experience the band’s latest live production.
Led by Josh Homme and joined by Troy Van Leeuwen, Michael Shuman, Dean Fertita and Jon Theodore, Queens of the Stone Age continue to evolve one of rock’s most distinctive sounds.
The tour announcement also arrives alongside the release of the band’s new single, Easy Street, their first new music since 2023’s In Times New Roman.
The atmospheric new track blends acoustic guitar, psychedelic synths and understated rhythms, while guest vocalist Nikki Lane adds a gritty contrast to Homme’s unmistakable lead vocals.
Accompanied by a cinematic music video featuring surreal characters and an unexpected twist, the single offers another glimpse into the band’s ever-expanding creative world.
Joining Queens of the Stone Age for the Australian tour are legendary alternative rock outfit Primus and Australian experimental art-punk favourites Tropical Fuck Storm.
Together, the three acts promise an evening of boundary-pushing music, with one of the year’s strongest rock line-ups set to hit Newcastle.
Queens of the Stone Age perform at Newcastle Entertainment Centre on Wednesday 16 December. General public tickets go on sale from 11am on Monday, 20 July, through Live Nation.
