The Bohemian Rhapsody hitmakers will lead a litany of musical heavy hitters throwing their hat into the ring for Fire Fight Australia on Sunday 16 February.
The marathon event, which is expected to run for nine hours, will be hosted by comedian Celeste Barber, whose online bushfire appeal has already raised a staggering $50 million.
Brian May and co. are taking time out from their Australian Rhapsody Tour for the benefit and they’re not the only international acts offering support

Legendary Canadian chanteuse k.d Lang will also be appearing, performing two songs – one of which is expected to be her stunning rendition of the Leonard Cohen classic Hallelujah, while Hall of Famer Alice Cooper, who is set to embark on his own Oz tour in February, is also expected to bring his unique brand of rock and roll theatrics to proceedings.
But that’s not all! The rest of the first line-up announcement reads like a who’s who of Australian music with Olivia Newton-John, John Farnham, and Tina Arena leading the Aussie contingent.

The other Aussie acts rounding out the first line-up announcement include Delta Goodrem, Guy Sebastian, Hilltop Hoods, Amy Shark, Baker Boy, Conrad Sewell, Daryl Braithwaite, Grinspoon, Icehouse, Jessica Mauboy, Peking Duk, Lee Kernaghan, Pete Murray, Illy and William Barton.
