American superstar P!nk is set to bring the party to McDonald Jones Stadium in February 2024 as part of her national Summer Carnival tour.
It’s been 13 years since the three-time Grammy Award winner hit the stage in Newcastle with her 2009 Funhouse Tour and her first stadium concert show in the city.
The announcement comes on the back of Elton John’s shows at the Stadium which saw 50,000 through the gates for two shows earlier this year.
“Pink’s live shows are something that must be seen to be believed, and we can’t wait to welcome the music icon to Newcastle early next year.” Venues NSW and McDonald Jones Stadium CEO Kerrie Mather said.
It’s expected that P!nk’s show in Newcastle will provide a $12 million injection for local businesses with thousands of interstate and international visitors expected to attend.
“This tour will provide an unmissable experience for music fans and a major boost for our city, bringing thousands of visitors to Newcastle and injecting millions of dollars into our economy,” Newcastle Lord Mayor Nuatali Nelmes said.
“We will continue to work together with Venues NSW to bring more events of this calibre to Newcastle.”
The Summer Carnival tour will kick off in Sydney at Allianz Stadium on 9 February, followed by the show at McDonald Jones Stadium on 13 February.

Telstra customers will get first dibs on pre-sale tickets from Monday 13 February with My Live Nation members next in line on Thursday, 16 February.
