Melbourne based trio, Planet of the 8s will be returning to Newcastle for a special one-night-only show at The Small Ballroom on Saturday 1st October.
All three members are Newcastle expats who each made a name for themselves locally in the late 90s and early ‘noughties’ before taking their unique sounds to Melbourne. Laced with fuzzy guitars, laid-back melodic vocals and deep grooves, the bands sound has been described as a Californian-style of desert- and stoner-rock made famous by the likes of Kyuss, Fu Manchu and Queens of the Stone Age.
Punters are in for a night of variety in all forms with supporting acts from Family Dog, local hardcore rockers The Grounds and Ace Efalent.
