Pacific Avenue are heading back to Newcastle this October, bringing their explosive new single Working Class Hero to the King Street Bandroom as part of their current regional tour.

The two-time ARIA-nominated indie rockers have been road-testing the track across an 18-date run of shows, and it’s quickly become a live favourite.

With towering drums, soaring vocals and a cathartic chorus, the single reflects on small-town roots while celebrating the resilience of everyday heroes.

The single’s release is paired with an evocative music video filmed in the band’s hometowns of Gerringong and Kiama. Capturing the grit and loyalty of regional communities, the clip underlines the song’s tribute to the people and places that shaped them.

Working Class Hero marks the first taste of Pacific Avenue’s forthcoming second album, due out early next year.

It follows their 2024 hit Lucy, which dominated the triple j airwaves, surpassed one million streams, and fuelled a viral TikTok campaign.

The band’s momentum has only continued to grow since their debut album Flowers hit #1 on the ARIA Australian Chart and amassed more than 20 million streams worldwide.

With three international headline tours and festival appearances under their belt, Pacific Avenue are quickly cementing their place among Australia’s most exciting rock exports.

Pacific Avenue will play King Street Bandroom, Newcastle, on Saturday, 4 October 2025, as part of their regional Australian tour. Tickets are on sale now.
