We will kick off the program tonight with a phoner with SARAH CONLAN, brought to you by Springfest 2, which is being held at Hinton on Saturday 15th October. SARAH CONLAN hails from the South Island of New Zealand. This Kiwi Singer/Songwriter carries that label with distinction, both as a “singer” of dulcet tones with the polish of a by-gone era, sweet and warm with clarity and as a “songwriter”, there’s no surprise with the quality of her work as a story-teller, getting the message out from the inside.
SARAH CONLAN has also crafted “co-wrties” with respected Australian Country Artists of the calibre of TAMARA STEWART and local MORGAN EVANS.
Sarah has received several awards over the past few years and was awarded a scholarship at the NCMA in 2014 to attend the DAG Songwriting Seminar in Nundle, realising her first musical adventure across the Tasman. Now she returns to Australia with the release of her self-titled album, debut single and video release, LIKE A FOOL.
The single, LIKE A FOOL, is simply the girl, her guitar and the voice.

THE SUPERJESUS is coming to town!!!! You can check out the huge gig on Saturday Night at The Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle. This visit to Newy is night two of their “Love & Violence” Tour.
SARAH McLEOD and STUART RUDD have withstood the rest of time, they now both have matured musically and have more raw energy than ever before. Sarah’s vocals are excellent and the band is tight.
Bass Player STUART RUDD will be having a chat tonight over the phone about the gig on Saturday Night and the latest EP and the punchy and catchy single, LOVE & VIOLENCE release. Ruddy is super excited about the tour and the excellent production of the single and EP. Just after the 8pm news, I will be chatting with the one and only, ABC Star and friend to the environment, DIRTGIRL. Yes, the star of dirtgirlworld will join me for a chat on the phone about how she has been helping the environment with the help of all the fantastic children that tune in. I will also play a couple of special songs from dirtgirl.
DIRTGIRL will also be on air live from the studio of Lake Macquarie FM 97.3 on Thursday morning just after 10am, then making a special appearance at The Halekulani Bowling Club. It’s all happening!!!
Our fifth and final guest tonight will be a visit to the studio from DAN BURROWS, from FLY SUNDAY PROMOTIONS and organiser of SPRINGFEST 2.
Dan will fill us in on this fantastic event coming up on Saturday the 15th October at The Victoria Hotel at Hinton. This event is being touted as an event with Great Beer, Great Food and Great Music. A huge lineup of musical delights include The Treehouse Children, In Motion, Midnight Movers, Jones The Cat, just to name a few.

With Aussie Ossie Radio, we have regular weekly programs, including Locals Only on a Monday Night which presents 3 hours of music from bands and artists from the Central Coast/Lake Macquarie/Newcastle areas. Locals’ music is also played throughout the week in various playlists on the station. Some other programs are Pedal To The Metal (Metal Show) 10pm on Thursdays, This Is Australia (60s, 70s, 80’s) 11am on Saturdays, High Noon Country on Sundays at 12noon and Blues and Roots on Sunday Night from 8.30pm
