This week’s program, Ossie And Friends (Lake Macquarie FM 97.3 Wednesday 6pm till 9pm) is proudly sponsored by VIBES Australia which is held at The Coast Hotel at Budgewoi each Thursday Night.
First up this week, brought to you by MUSIC SOLUTIONS WARNERS BAY, MICHAEL EDSER, known as GRAYSON, will be catching up with us via the telephone. Michael Edser (GRAYSON) hails from Newcastle and currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee (USA). Michael Edser is GRAYSON, the name being a reference to the street he grew up in here in Australia.
GRAYSON’S music and lyrics captivate his audience, not only with tales of heartfelt experiences, but the often forgotten moments in between.
During “live” performances, GRAYSON creates and maintains a direct connection with his audience using natural dialogue that elevates the experience to a relatable encounter. A captivating songwriter with a style reminiscent of some of the greats in the industry, GRAYSON receives international praise for being a unique artist with an Americana/Country Folk style.
GRAYSON has toured Europe on several occasions and has played at over 100 venues in the United States, now his home. He is back on his old home turf now, touring Australia and we will be chatting with him tonight about his music and other special projects he is involved in.
GRAYSON will also be performing at BAR PETITE Saturday Night.
SANDY BIGARA is a singer from the Central Coast, but no ordinary singer. SANDY BIGARA is inspired by freedom in Art Making and has a passion for all that sparkles, combining traditional theatre elements with poetry, freestyle dance, art, music, singing, soundscapes and lighting/effects.
SANDY BIGARA currently has an album available, titled DEITY, which is available via her website www.sandybigara.com or through Amazon, Spotify, Reverbnation or CD Baby.
Sandy will be joining us “live” in the studio to talk about her life in South Africa and her music and projects she is involved in. We will also play a few tracks from her album to give you a taste.
MURRAY “MUZZA” BURNS from MI-SEX joins us courtesy of GOLDEN ROBOT RECORDS and MUSIC SOLUTIONS WARNERS BAY. Always a great chat with “MUZZA”.
MI-SEX have been performing solidly since a gig at The Cambridge Hotel several years ago where there were less than 100 people watching, which meant there was about 300 that missed out!!!
Following the unfortunate passing of lead singer STEVE GILPIN, MI-SEX went underground for around 20 years. The arrival of STEVE BALBI (NOISEWORKS/ELECTRIC HIPPIES/ MOON-THE BAND) really ignited the passion for “live performances” as MI-SEX and the band knocks ‘em for six with every performance, whether it be at a festival or a stand along gig.
Recently at LIVE AT THE FORESHORE, MI-SEX was undoubtedly one of the hi-lights, among many.
Tomorrow night, Thursday 22nd December, MI-SEX will be back in town performing the final gig of their NOT FROM HERE TOUR at the magnificent LIZOTTE’S in Newcastle. The band loves the venue and the venue loves the band.
Tonight we will be chatting with MUZZA about the new album, NOT FROM HERE and the gig at LIZOTTE’S and we will play a few MI-SEX tracks to get you in the mood.
CATHERINE BRITT, the sweetheart local country music star will again be hosting the jam night at PEPPERTOWN CAFE in Mayfield tonight, Wednesday. This jam night is just one of the “live” music projects that Natalie and Brock from THE WAYWARD HENRYS put on at the little cafe that they have now taken over.
Tonight we will have a quick chat to CATHERINE BRITT “live” from the venue to give us the vibe of the evening and tell us a little bit about it. We will also play a couple from Catherine and perhaps THE WAYWARD HENRYS.
All this and more on Ossie And Friends on Lake Macquarie FM 97.3, tonight from 6pm.
On Community Radio, I have also commenced Monday Breakfast. The program is called A DINGO’S BREAKFAST, 6am till 9am Mondays on Lake Macquarie FM 97.3. Come and like that Facebook Page also and maybe tune in to that program sometime. @adingosbreakfast.
