Back in 1973 Ace Frehley took pen to graph paper and designed the original KISS logo.
Decades later that original artwork, and a Certificate Of Authenticity signed by Ace Frehley, is up for Auction.
The logo was unveiled for the first time in 2011 within the middle interior colour page section of Ace’s No Regrets book.
Ace used the original design as a prototype for a pinback button the band could use as merchandise which is why the paper is taped to a button.
The auction is taking place over at gottahaverockandroll.com and they say that the 50-year-old piece of paper is “super delicate” with “tears all around the edges”.
Due to its fragility, the button will be shipped to the winning bidder within a mylar sleeve inside a mini plastic case.
The gottahaverockandroll.com auction, which also features other Kiss items, closes on 30 April.
