Knights fever is set to take over Charlestown Square this week, with NRL and NRLW players and cheerleaders heading in-centre for two huge Winter Shopping Knight events across back-to-back Thursday nights.
The shopping centre is giving Newcastle fans the rare chance to get up close with their favourite Newcastle Knights stars, joining forces with the club to deliver meet-and-greets, giveaways and an unmissable major prize drawn after each event.
The activation builds on Charlestown Square’s partnership with the Knights, celebrating local pride and the region’s deep connection to its home team.
Each Winter Shopping Knight will see top Knights NRL and NRLW players and the cheer squad meeting fans throughout the centre.
Families and supporters can snap photos, enjoy the atmosphere and take part in a series of in-centre competitions designed to bring a little game-day magic to the weeknight shop.
At the heart of the activation is the Ultimate Knights Fan Experience, a money-can’t-buy prize that will be awarded to one shopper after each event.
Fans who enter will be in the running to score corporate hospitality tickets in the Sports Lounge hosted by club legend Kurt Gidley, premium food and drinks, undercover seating and live music as part of a VIP game-day package.
The major prize winners will also be treated to a pre-game walkthrough of the Knights Centre of Excellence, a behind-the-scenes tunnel run-out, a meet and greet with the coach and an on-field walk before kick-off.
Add in a premium merchandise pack valued at more than $500, and the total experience offers a once-in-a-lifetime moment for any dedicated Knights supporter.
To enter, shoppers simply need to purchase from selected retailers between 5pm and 9pm on either Winter Shopping Knight date, validate their receipt at the activation cart and complete the entry form.
With food, fashion, lifestyle and entertainment all under one roof, Charlestown Square is encouraging fans to make a night of it and enjoy a winter wardrobe refresh with a healthy dose of club spirit.
