Newcastle four-piece Elestial are set to release their latest single, Narcissist, delivering another upbeat yet introspective track that explores the highs and lows of relationships through their signature indie rock sound.

Formed in 2020, Elestial have quickly established themselves as one of Newcastle’s emerging independent acts, creating music that blends shoegaze, indie rock and atmospheric melodies.

The band features Elyssa Hawkins on vocals and rhythm guitar, Toby Stuart on drums, Rohan Donnolley on lead guitar and AJ Russell on bass.

Following on from their recent single Guinness, Narcissist continues Elestial’s run of emotionally charged releases.

The track was recorded and produced by Pete Covington at Golden Retriever Studios in Marrickville, Sydney, capturing the band’s mix of powerful vocals, catchy instrumentation and immersive songwriting.

The new single explores the difficult realisation of holding onto a relationship beyond its natural end, reflecting on the feeling of placing trust and love in someone who does not return those same emotions.

While the subject matter is reflective, the track’s energetic sound encourages listeners to dance along while connecting with its themes.

Known for creating music that feels both familiar and refreshingly original, Elestial’s sound is built around honest lyricism and a strong connection between vocals and instrumentation.

Their latest release continues to showcase the band’s ability to combine emotional storytelling with memorable hooks that keep audiences coming back.

Elestial’s new single, Narcissist, will be released on Friday 8 August and will be available to stream and download across digital platforms. Fans can follow Elestial through their social media channels or visit elestialband.com.
