Sculptures in the Garden has unveiled its final artist lineup for 2025, confirming a record-breaking year for regional Australia’s premier outdoor art exhibition.

Returning mid-October, the Mudgee-based event will showcase more than 260 works by 130 artists, including a strong contingent from the Newcastle and Hunter regions.

Local sculptors set to feature include Paul Selwood (Wollombi), Paul O’Toole (Broke), Jennifer Little (Cessnock West), Andy Brush (Kitchener), Wendy Black (Watagan), Tobias Hynes (Murrurundi), John Logvyn (Thornton), Vlasé Nikoleski (Charlestown), Peter Simmons (Waratah) and Bridget Whitehead (Cardiff Heights).

For O’Toole, Little, Brush, Logvyn, Nikoleski and Simmons, this marks their debut at Sculptures in the Garden, highlighting the event’s reputation as a launchpad for new talent.

The wider program features leading Australian artists such as Mela Cooke, Stephen King, Paul Bacon and James Parrett, with one-third of exhibitors participating for the first time.

This fresh wave of creativity will sit alongside established names, making 2025 one of the most dynamic seasons in the event’s 15-year history.

Adding to the prestige, David Handley AM, CEO and Artistic Director of Sculpture by the Sea, will join the judging panel.

His involvement further cements Sculptures in the Garden as a cornerstone of Australia’s cultural calendar, with acquisition prizes ensuring many of the works find permanent homes in regional public art collections.

The program extends beyond sculpture, offering live music, children’s activities, food and wine from local producers, and interactive artist demonstrations.

Highlights include wire sculpture workshops, sandstone carving displays, and guided tours with both artists and guest judges, providing visitors with rare behind-the-scenes insights.

Sculptures in the Garden 2025 will run from 11 to 26 October at Rosby Wines in Mudgee. Proceeds will once again support Guide Dogs NSW/ACT. For the full program and ticket information, visit sculpturesinthegarden.com.au.
