Mariachi El Bronx and The Bronx are bringing their explosive dual-headline Super Show to Newcastle, delivering a one-night-only mash-up of punk energy and mariachi swagger at King Street in March 2026.
The tour marks a long-awaited return for both bands, who will perform back-to-back on the same stage for the very first time. It’s a rare chance to see two distinct musical worlds collide under one roof, a project that began more than twenty years ago when LA hardcore outfit The Bronx created their mariachi alter ego as a way to expand creatively and honour the Hispanic culture that shaped them.
Mariachi El Bronx’s revival is a major moment in itself. Back in full charro suits after a decade-long hiatus, the eight-piece is picking up exactly where it left off, blending traditional mariachi with rock grit, leaning into the working-class spirit that connects both genres.
Their return comes just ahead of their first album in twelve years, set for release in February 2026, with the new single Forgive or Forget offering a vibrant taste of what’s to come.
Sharing the bill are The Bronx, a band who have never once phoned it in across nearly two decades of blistering punk releases. Their live sets are known for being raw, cathartic and relentlessly loud, the sort of show that makes total sense alongside Mariachi El Bronx’s fearless, culture-spanning storytelling.
Together, they’re promising a mind-bending, style-smashing experience featuring top tracks, deep cuts and reimagined favourites performed by a nine-piece ensemble.
Newcastle’s stop on the Super Show! Band on Band Action! Tour lands between major cities, putting King Street right in the centre of one of the tour’s most anticipated dates. With both bands embracing their dual musical identities and bringing fresh material to the stage, it’s shaping up to be one of the most unique live events of the 2026 calendar.
